Some midday #CoSoMusic that lets me indulge my inner mad toymaker:
Doctor Steel - Childhood (Don't) a-Go-Go
The lack of even a red ripple endangers the McCarthy regime.
Like Democrats in years past, Republicans who won narrow victories in their districts will now be doing everything to preserve their seats in two years, meaning a lot of the "Impeach Joe Biden!" rhetoric will miraculously disappear when it's clear they won't get on board for fear of losing in 2024.
@VirginMaryCandle I mean, how else is he meant to get down those chimneys?

Why would that be? Because they've identified themselves, more and more, with extreme right-wing politics. Attracting more voters is easy: simply move to the center and get moderate-seeming, affable candidates. But the Republicans won't do that. They'd rather trash democracy than abandon extremism.
Early voting, voting by mail, drop boxes, automatic registration, same-day registration, more polling places, no ID requirement: all of these things make voting easier and safer for Democrats, Republicans, and independents, without any preference by party or political conviction. Everyone benefits.
So why are Republicans against these things? Because they've convinced themselves that, in a wider universe of voters, they haven't got a chance.

@CommonSenseGent This is probably my favorite Muppet video. I love watching Sam find his funk!
Yay, Katie Porter and her Whiteboard won. #Politics
So reminder, the County Sheriff is the highest law enforcement officer in the County Sheriff's office.
No more, no less.
There's no mention of the sheriff anywhere in the US Constitution and all of their power claims are the brainfart of sovereign citizen leaders in the 1970s, relied upon in the 2010s by a new-age fraudster.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but:
Programmers are labor. Engineers are labor. Developers are labor. Tech workers are labor.
If you work for and get paid by somebody else you are labor.
You may be a highly-paid (for now), brilliant genius but you're still labor and you still need protection against malevolent management like Elon Musk.
And the way that labor protects itself is by unionizing.
@TheNewsOwl Gosh, what a blow to the channel, losing an actress of her stature...🙄
@carmen I can't imagine why he'd think there'd be disloyalty in the ranks at Twitter. It's not like he fired half of them before his office seat was warm...
Wait, I've just been handed a note...
@lbtechguy Trying to get his money back, is my guess. That means lining up the suckers again.
@ThePlanesNYC Write-in vote for Das Belthaus, home of finely engineered German belts.
@TheNewsOwl It would not surprise me to find out that this is an op to turn people against climate activism.
