I remember exactly where I was, in Minneapolis with family waiting to be seated for brunch. The TVs cut over to footage from Israel. I stopped mid-sentence and watched for a few moments. I looked at my family and said something along the lines of “this is terrible, this is going to be so bad for so many people.” As the days ground on no good news came. One of those moments where everything changes.
