Serious question: When did the "Free Palestine" movement on US college campuses flip to completely ignoring the continued atrocities being committed by Hamas, PIJ, and other similar orgs? I don't remember their messages being like this years ago.
The cherry picked talking points and outright lies being blasted out to our college students read like a state-sponsored disinfo campaign.
@voltronic I am skeptical that they did. I think the propaganda wars have engaged.
@voltronic Remember the "Don't attack Iraq" protests organised by the Stop The War Coalition in 2003? I was at the London march.
I saw it even then.
The hardline fringes of the left in the UK have always had an anti-semitic element.
Infiltration began in the early 90's.
The full flip was delayed by 9/11.
By 2006-07 the flip was in place.
They've had almost two decades to indoctrinate students.
@Render @voltronic the modern BDS movement started in 2005 and it's where much of the direct indoctrination comes from. But long before that, the bleeding hearts at the UN turned a mostly blind eye to the atrocities of the PLO and later Fatah. If the Pals "never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity", the UN was always right behind them with their "underdog cheer squad".
@voltronic LOTs of misinformation and uneducated people on the nuances of Israeli politics
wouldn't doubt most of them being fed misinformation via Meta, Instagram, and TikTok
We can all agree killing innocent people is bad no matter who does it and there is no justification for it.
