This is why I only use Chrome Browser when forced to. #cososec

I've been using them for a long time because of the lack of tracking. What's funny is whenever I'm presenting something to my students and I open a new tab, they say "what the heck is Duck Duck Go???"
Of course, this is on Chrome browser which I'm required to use at work, but my employer is already tracking what I do on those machines.
@voltronic Yes same here.
Unfortunately for Google ,Microsoft and Apple- they have failed in securing data as the lure of profit proved to be too great.
So if you want something done right we have to do it ourselves.

My preferred desktop browser is Firefox. Been fairly loyal since the Mozilla days.
On mobile, I like Bromite. It's stripped-down Chromium with some additional privacy / security custom stuff.

Tried Brave desktop and mobile for a while, but lost faith in them with the referral link fiasco.

firefox focus browser on android is by far the best mobile browser for opening links via other apps
on android i never set any browser as default then you get a pop-up when tapping a URL from other apps asking what browser you wanna use
tap "just once" when picking keeps the choice instead of "always" which makes a browser the default
@ecksmc
Yes, I do that for some things, but for a mobile browser I like having a default.

If you decide to stick with Bromite, I recommend using F-Droid so you get updates. You need to add the Bromite repository there first.
@voltronic @AkomoCombine I'mma check out this Bromite, ty
