I was a bit of a hardcore punk rock, post-punk (and classical music) elitist as an adolescent, but a secret pleasure would be setting up my stereo speakers facing one another about 3’ apart and laying on the floor between them blasting *Women and Children First* at 200 Db.

It was sonic heaven beginning to end.
