No, I'm in the same boat as you. I'll wait to upgrade until it is stable and released.

You could always just take an image of your current install, and have it handy to reload if the beta install goes south.

Yes, the per-client blocking is a really cool thing to see on free software that runs on super cheap computers.

If I had a spare pi, I would go for it, and then have the 4.3 system to fall back on.
