Good morning! ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ”†๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค

A political mess is before us. It can be very stressful.

My advice is to focus on what's good and beautiful.

This means moving your attention away from the stress to things you love to do. ( home, family, nature, sports, music, etc)

Like observing each petal on a flower, it's shape, color and connections to the plant, earth, sun, universe

Look with fresh eyes, be curious and grateful for (example) the earth and this precious biosphere which sustains us.

^^^ that is a way to find calm &peace in the midst of a storm.

mindfulness practice is NOT about ignoring issues.

I've navigated many crises in the past year. (Except for the really bad freak out shit that happened), I have found solutions through MFP.

The more you practice, the better you get at being non judgemental. This is key to emotional regulation.

This enables you to see the issue almost as a third person << this is where solutions are.

Yes. Focus on that which is good, Love, pure, and True. Then you will have joy & peace โ˜ฎ๏ธ in this precious journey called Life!๐Ÿ˜„โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒผ

@LSWellesley I find myself drifting away now and then. (Not to mention being overwhelmed and paralyzed by the events of November-january)

It took me until March before I could resolve and heal from this.

When I drift I go back to inspiring passages or re-listen to something by Thich Naht Hanh << Peace Is Every Step was my first book and still my favorite.
