I'm home after spending the whole weekend in the hospital. They admitted me from the ER and put me on IV Lasix. I wound up losing 13 *pounds* from my swollen legs, but at a price - I developed phlebitis in a vein in my right elbow. They ran ultrasounds on my legs and elbow, plus an echocardiogram on my heart. No DVTs, and no cause found for the swelling. Told me to follow up with a vein specialist.

@leejackson a helpful tool is your bathroom scale. Something sensitive to .1 lb. Slight changes up/down reflects fluid. I have times when I give mom extra Lasix if she gains 2lb in a day or 5lb i a week. Definitely follow up!!
