I bought some Truly Hard Seltzer Punch this weekend. Thought it might be passable, as it was described as having more flavor than the regular ones but not being too sweet.
They taste like rubbing alcohol someone dipped a fruit in. I couldn't drink a full can. Tried making it colder--that just muted the flavor more, making the rubbing alcohol taste more prominent. Tried adding some real juice. Was able to drink one more sip before being overwhelmed by nasty metallic alcohol.
Suspect I'd hate 'em, too... I did like Topo Chico seltzers.
I don't drink much and was looking for something cheaper than having a bottle of liquor and mixing it with club soda and fruit juice myself. But I suspect I'd be much better off going that route, even if I only use half the booze before it goes off. (The liquors I prefer last about 6 months after opening.)
