Recently, instead of getting angry and resentful of customers who call in and are rude, I’ve started to laugh at them and get aggressively friendly about it.

@EnochianEntropy I never laughed at a customer, but I took customer complaint calls for two years (Hertz). I LOVED being super nice and sweet to the awful ones. The ones who were determined to yell until they got something for free. I'd put on my most charming voice, it's got those smoky whiskey notes and tends to get compliments, and be just as darling as I could manage as I told them no, and wished them the loveliest of days. Sent them through the roof. I didn't laugh until they hung up.
