You know those “sign in with google/facebook” links? Is there a way to fake the login so you never have to make a real account?
@voltronic oh but see I WANT the hacky bypass
@tiaugn Numerous ways, that you can typically find with a web search. For one, just make "burner" email addresses.
I sometimes make email addresses, and barely keep them active, for years, in case I need one that looks more "established" but for the most part, you can just make a free email account somewhere and just use that for stuff you don't want attached to you.
There's also services that offer free temp fake phone #'s for logins/registrations.
@tiaugn There's also services intended to circumvent paywalls, if you just want to read an article without logging in to something.
do a search for "remove paywall"
@tiaugn
On every site I've seen, signing in with Google / Facebook is simply an option. You can still create a unique username and password for that site (and you should).
No need for some kind of hacky bypass.
