Nothing makes me feel older than seeing the original air date of a Simpsons episode I grew up with.

@TheCard Nothing beats seeing your old tube radio/television, or sewing machine in an antique store.

@AskTheDevil @TheCard I knew I was old the day I saw my childhood roller skates listed as "antique!"

@danialexis 🀣 That would make you over a hundred years old! You're looking pretty youthful for a centagenarian! 😜

@AskTheDevil @TheCard

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard I wouldn't trust that estimate. I'm crazy, full of shit, and not entirely sure when I am playing a character or not. Also, I don't really want to give out real dates of birth and such.

On matters of ethics, philosophy, opinions on current events, of verifiable facts, how batty or old I am shouldn't matter.

I won't lie, but not everything I say will be true. I am an imperfect being.

@AskTheDevil My estimate was based merely on the generally accepted convention that to be called antique, an object must be 100 years old or more!

@danialexis @TheCard

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard Oh, a lot of "antique" sell lots of things that people think are antiques because they look old-timey to them.

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard For instance, there's plenty of tube TVs and radios that are less than 100 years old. I think I threw out my last one in maybe... 2010?

Archaeologists often consider things significant enough to record if they're over 50 years old. Like, when I was in high school. :facepalm:

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard Having said that, when I say I drank beer with Gilgamesh, or knew King Lot, I'm not kidding. I really have what feel like memories of those things, and I really believe that.

While accepting that "those are not real memories" seems like a far more likely story.

I can't promise you can trust anything I say, because I'm a guy who thinks they're the devil, and that doesn't suggest reliability, does it?

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard I like you too. Crazy people can like people! : )

Thank you.

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard But this frees me, from the outset, from having to defend against most argumentuum ad hominae.

And it means I cannot rely on personal authority for any argument I might offer. I'll have to make sense, because I'm the opposite of an unimpeachable authority.

I like it that way.

@stueytheround @danialexis @TheCard Also, I think if I manage to successfully explain how I think I'm the Devil, some people might go "What a gyp! Anyone could do that!"
