So the guitars have broken out.
I never played much. But my friend said he had something called a baritone ukulele.
I never heard of such a thing. He said it was a great fast way to get some good sounds without a lot of practice. So is this true?
I might borrow it.

go for it. It’s tuned just like the top four strings on the guitar. great for soloing and melody playing, with easier fretting of jazzy chords farther up the neck. you’ll dig it. gar-ron-teed.
octave strings always sound good to me. Mandolas, octave mandolins, 12-string guitars, cool, cool, cool.

i've seen and played with a couple of tiples, 10 strings, usually 2-3-3-2, one with an armadillo shell as the body.

I have a Regal built tiple from about 1930s that has some body damage and needs a new bridge - one of the projects on my to do list.
