Besides putting the driver next to the curb instead of in traffic when they exit their vehicle, are there other practical advantages to driving on the left side of a road in England, for example? Asking because I’ve always just accepted it and never wondered why.

But why? Granted, one could ask why American car’s’ steering wheels are on the left but I can’t help but believe it’s cause of America’s insistence on breaking away from all things English.

@see_the_sus @Jeber I don’t know, just pointing it out b/c of the assumption that the driver would be near the curb when parking. Not the case. That’s all.
