How does everyone feel about "different" baby names? Just came across a post from a friend of a friend about a new baby boy in their family named Krimson Noxx. I get wanting to be unique but..
@sarcasmsign And⦠well, it seems like the name preceded the quality of the person.
I'd like to think that it's possible to give your child a "unique" name without saddling them with a name that's going to get their butt kicked every single day of grade school.
No idea why anyone would want to do such a thing to a helpless child.
@sarcasmsign I try not to let it affect my view of the kid, but I absolutely roll my eyes (inwardly) at the parents.
I see a LOT of these as a teacher, along with a lot of names with pop culture references. I have multiple 6th graders named Bella, for instance...born 2011-2012, of course.
@danialexis I work in a veterinary hospital, so the name Bella is overused there too. I can't see naming a child anything you'd name your dog. π
@sarcasmsign Baby Krimπ Get over here, Krim!
@sarcasmsign Wow LOL Frank Zappaβs kidβs names Moon, Dweezil, Ahmet, and Diva. donβt seem that weird anymore. I have a friend who is named Cheyanne Cloud. Heβs a great guy. We call him Cloudy.
@sarcasmsign I dealt with someone named Latrina yesterday.
What a shitty name.
