My dad hasn't been home since before Christmas and it's really hitting me hard lately. He's in a geriatric psych unit while they figure out what meds will manage his outbursts so he can safely go to memory care. I miss taking pictures like this. He may not have been able to remember Nimoy's name the last couple years, but they were buddies and he misses my dad too. #Alzheimers
@sarcasmsign Can you arrange a visit? Many years ago my dad was hospitalized for a month and he and his dog were both miserable. The staff helped us arrange a couple of visitations. (Might want to ask the memory care folks as well.)

@Cosmichomicide He isn't settled into a facility yet. He went straight from home to the hospital when he was having a very aggressive episode and we didn't know what else to do. And my dog doesn't do well around a lot of chaos. He'd be freaking out. 😵💫

I am so sorry about your dad, Janine. 😔 My dad died from Alzheimer's almost 12 years ago. It was excruciatingly painful to watch his slow decline over about 10 years. It is a horrible disease. I hope they can get his meds adjusted soon and that you and him along with his sweet dog can get some quality time together. My heart is with you. 💜 Take care.
