If I want to get into Data Analytics what are my options? Any credible programs that are free or at least not hella expensive that I can complete?

I already do a lot of data gathering in my healthcare job but don’t have time to do anything meaningful with it.. nor does admin seem to care anyway.

I’m going to go through some of the courses on LinkedIn and then check out some Coursera courses.
I realize I’m already doing a lot of this and it’s the part I enjoy. I like data gathering, putting it together, seeing what it tells me and going from there.
Even if it takes me a few months to learn at least it’s a start.

@annamuneca , great idea! It might give you ideas on where to branch out in your discipline/areas of interest, decide if you want to code the reports or plug and play variables into an existing frame to analyze specific things?

I think Epic uses SQL.

Maybe snorkle around the major EMR/EHR sites for inspiration, too, (Epic, Oracle Cerner, etc?) 😎🥰

@LadyZurk @annamuneca I can confirm epic's reporting db uses SQL (as I recall they support a couple of different brands). Their operative datastore is mumps/cache that uses something called kb sql, which I don't think looks a ton like SQL.

IMHO anybody interested in data should learn SQL. It's the Esperanto of data manipulation languages.
