Goodbye duvet cover. Even after swimming around in water and me trying to work with it in the water (I will keep the suggestion by @elbutterfield in mind for less extreme cases), it wouldn't untwist. I chopped it up. Inside were the following:
Two bath towels
Three pillowcases
Two hand towels
One dishtowel
Two dryer sheets
@redenigma
Duly noted!
@publickovacs That’s one hungry duvet cover.
Can you imagine? Don’t blame you for killing it.
@LnzyHou
I was initially hoping to make one incision that could then be sutured back, but no dice
Lucky you. Could have been death defying
i will beware in future. i've done that before without problems, but your experience has given me pause.
hahaha. i just saw the duvet cover as a shark swallowing all that laundry 🤣🤣🤣
@holon42
That is good imagery
my metaphorical mind is active today 😎
@publickovacs Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this. That certainly is an extreme case of twisting and bunching. I wish my solution could have worked for you this time. You strove valiantly and should get a medal for the attempt!
@elbutterfield
Thank you so much!
Bummmeeer I was wondering how the water trick turned out!
I had the same issue about a week ago, and it took a lot of hand power to get it unraveled it was very frustrating. But I only had a sheet inside of mine. @publickovacs @elbutterfield
@publickovacs @elbutterfield never put anything else in the dryer with a duvet cover. if at all possible, hang them to dry & avoid dryers altogether. if you must use a dryer, plan to stop it every 10 minutes or so & unball the cover
