So Trump's campaign manager tweeted this out, and if you want to kick him and Trump in the nuts, now's the time to do it by supporting one of the Dem candidates especially Biden with some fundage.

@TheAbbotTrithemius

Never Biden. If he’s the nominee, yes, I will vote blue, etc.

But I don’t like him one bit.

@Kitty62862

Really? JOOC, why?

I'm not asking to start any ruckus; frankly, I see him as...a fairly inoffensive candidate.

To be clear: I would LOVE to see a woman in office (& see America join the ranks of...well, the rest of the civilized world), however, I fear we're just so very backward, a female candidate running against a male candidate would hand it to the repubs.

First and foremost, he’s wayyyyy outdated.

More palatable than angry grampa, but that’s not saying much.

@Kitty62862

At this point, I'd vote for a damned legume over Trump, frankly.

That said... I can't really disagree with you there.

To be clear, if (say) ten years from now, AOC runs for POTUS, she'll likely have my vote (assuming I'm still above ground); my fear - which seems alarmingly accurate - is this country is too damned puritanical & misogynistic to have a female president :(

While I can't prove this, I had a conversation with my mother about this in the 1980s, and I said at the time (and she actually agreed) that America would see a "black *man* [as POTUS] before a *woman* would ever be elected".

So...while I was overjoyed to see Obama in, I was kinda saddened as well, as it...well, it kinda made my prediction right.

Iceland, the UK...I don't care to list every single country that's evolved past us; it's kind of a bummer :(

@netspionage @TheAbbotTrithemius

I said it in the spring of 2008.

I’ve never shared this, but my daughter and I watched that official nomination festivity, in 2016. I held her close to my face and whispered “No more limits. Dream it, work for it, have it”. It’s the closest I’ve come to tears since I don’t remember when. Maybe 2009.

The election results took my major depression, and threw a molotov cocktail into it.
