I had a routine yesterday. No polyps. Nothing but good news on that front but there was one curious thing: My blood pressure spiked during the procedure. I fought back against being asleep so the anesthesiologist had to give me more medicine to keep me under and to lower my blood pressure.

Is there anyone in CoSo that can explain this? Once awake my BP normalized. It's never high like that unless my body is stressed. My dad had lifelong BP issues but I'm normal.

@danielbsmith Having a colonoscopy is a stress to the system. If you weren’t sedated enough, your BP could spike as it could in any other stressful situation. Doesn’t sound to me like there’s anything to be concerned about. Good news about your negative colonoscopy!
