@voltronic As much as I *really* like the app, I've grown increasingly uneasy about any solution unnecessarily built atop a cryptocurrency platform. Requiring server operators to buy-in with an investment of 15000 whatever-coins for the privilege of participating in the "decentralized" network rubs me all sorts of wrong.
Kind of makes Session seem like a tech demo to attract "investors" to the coin rather than an honest attempt at democratizing private communications.

People who run Tor nodes don't need a pay a fee of thousands of dollars to some company in order to do that. They just need to pay to keep up their own servers. This Oxen company appears to want a "web3 / monetize all the things" version of Tor.
