Hydrogen, what is a good for?

The only economic and environmental purpose for hydrogen is making ammonia and or other chemical reactions.

No Other use is economical or environmentally sound.

If you made "green" hydrogen with electricity, there is no use that it could be put to, than just using the electricity for that end use.

Hydrogen is a vital part of our ecosysten, of our atmosphere. Combined with oxygen, it is what makes water. That is the meaning of H2O. And hydrogen is what makes us, since we are mostly water.
So, in case you were wondering, hydrogen is good for everything, & we wouldn't exist without it.

@jjGravitas
understood.

My point.
Hydrogen makes a totally no good, bad fuel for anything.

Except rocket motors.

@corlin @jjGravitas It has applications for a new generation of jet planes. It's also used in fuel cells.

There are Gigawatt-scale electrolysis plants in operation or under construction, powered by wind and/or solar.

@peterquirk @jjGravitas

No nope nada

No reason to carry fuel of any kind.
Electric trains are a well proven technology.
Why use electricity to create hydrogen to then run a train when you can run a train on the electricity alone

Just stop with the irrational justification for hydrogen.

@corlin @jjGravitas Where I live in Massachusetts there are only diesel electric trains. Hydrogen trains would be better and quiter.
