@DubleveWands @Myana My wife crafts custom wire-wrapped jewelry. We had a long talk about pricing and not undervaluing the time she puts in, not just in actual wrapping, but time spent becoming an expert. Now I think she charges what her work is worth and people pay for it. It's so awesome to see her being successful that way!
@Myana @DubleveWands When we do shows together, I sell my paperback books (that I wrote) and she sells her jewelry, and I am totally fine with her making 4-5 times what I do. Her niche market is much broader than mine.
@ianthealy @DubleveWands That is wonderful! There are so many artists who feel that somehow they're not worthy of being paid. I had someone online who kept apologizing for charging $5 for hand-knit pot holders. Nothing I could say convinced her she was undercharging. I eventually gave up and just 'tipped' her really well.
