They call it Confederate Rose down South. I'm allergic to that name, so I call it Hibiscus mutabilis.

An interesting thing about this hibiscus is that carpenter bees snuggle down between the petals and wallow in the pollen for hours at a time. It looks like some of them even sleep there.
