I've been spending a lot of time studying herbs and their usages this summer. Wanted to share one thing I learnt. I have GERD and suffer with bad acid reflux. I recently found out about all the nasty side effects of things like Nexium, Gaviscon, Tums, prescriptions etc.Yikes. Now, I keep ginger root in the freezer. When I have a problem, I cut a small piece off and chew it. It works really well. Wanted to share in case others have the same issue and find it helpful.
