I view abortion as problematic at best (except as a byproduct of lifesaving medical operation - i.e. chemotherapy for cancer, etc.) because I do not see a way, logically and philosophically, to separate it from homicide and infanticide - though it is more arguable in early term.
This, then, has the following logical ramifications: Contraception needs to be available. Adoption should be strongly encouraged.

If so, first I'd ask @noghiri to expand the argument that abortion is hard to separate from infanticide and homicide. I don't want to put words in your mouth but if you could explain your POV more on that--especially, say, as it pertains to the first half of pregnancy?
