Our neighborhood has been overrun by “doodle” - labradoodles, golden doodles, Aussie doodles, mini-Aussie doodles and more. Even Little Miss Attitude is asking the inevitable question: if crossing your dog breed with a poodle results in a superior “new” breed, why not just *get a poodle* in the first place?? Better yet, adopt a shelter dog from the deep end of the canine gene pool.

I've seen a lot of doodles lately, too.

I think they are popular because they are *rumored* to 1. Not shed and 2. Not cause allergic reactions in people who are allergic to dogs, because something something hair not fur, I don't know.

They're cute enough dogs, and I like them, but I'm skeptical they deliver on promises 1 and 2.

Also, shelter dogs Fur the Win.
