The story of Elon Musk: In his own words.

His story changes more than Trump’s makeup.

“I wasn't sure if what I worked on in the PhD would actually be useful.. So I was really concerned that if I-- Why, timing? Or
what was your intuition? Meaning it could be academically useful, but not practically useful.. It could result in a PhD and
adding some leaf to the tree of knowledge, but then discovering that, well, it's not really going to matter.. Is it going to be a
good enough thing to actually be used in an electric vehicle?”

EV’s? 😂 or undocumented?

Hmmm… so here we establish he was actually trying to get into the US.

“Yes, so…my mother was born in Canada. Her father was American. But unfortunately she didn’t get her American citizenship, so then that broke the link and I couldn’t get my American citizenship. But she was born in Canada, so I actually filled out the forms for her and got her a Canadian passport, and me too. Within three weeks of getting my Canadian passport, I was in Canada.”

Gray area? 🙄

Brutal edit:

“So, I originally came out to California to try to figure out how to improve the energy density of electric vehicles – basically to try to figure out if there was an advanced capacitor that could serve as an alternative to batteries. And that was in 1995… So, I decided to drop out… And I did some Internet stuff, you know. I’ve done a few things here and there. One of which is PayPal.”

On a student visa.

But back to immigration, did you know Musk was not a fan of Trump’s immigration policy? Now he is. Hmmm:

Could Musk be an undocumented worker? Trump could make that all go away…

From 60 Minutes:

Lesley Stahl: It's not a car for the every-man, which is what you set out to build.

Elon Musk: It's getting there. We're not that far from being able to produce the $35,000 car and that'll be ready in probably five or six months.

Lesley Stahl: All right. Here you go. You've already set a new deadline. Right? Five or six months.

Elon Musk: That's just-- that's just my guess.

This is Musk’s tell—he stutters. He is CEO. He doesn’t have to “guess.”

Aren’t we in an economic war with China?

Or is it okay to praise China as long as they buy shit from us?

He SOOOO wanted to avoid politics so he joined Trump’s advisory board.

Anyone want to call bullshit?

Not in his words, but dear old Dad’s remembrance.

“Elon and Kimbal then emigrated to Canada with their mother, Maye, in part to avoid conscription in the South African army, before taking the plunge as entrepreneurs in the United States”

Draft dodger.

Dad: “ I start to worry of boredom. I get worried that he is getting bored… (if he) suddenly decides it’s not interesting anymore he just kind of drops it.”

Tesla investors? He’s talking about the robotaxi.

@feloneouscat "...suitcase full of books. The next day, my furniture finally arrived. I managed to make the $2000 last a full week, to make sure that my hardship was enough to toughen me into a man before I asked daddy for more...."

@tippitiwichet

He was 17 when arrived in Canada.

He was 24 when he moved to CA to drop out of Stanford.

He has a tendency to conflate reality.

@feloneouscat So Musk used to know that judging integrity and worth by hats was a bad idea.

@feloneouscat “ I don’t really like power and the feeling it gives the tainted blood coursing through my veins, I just buy companies then act like a dick to all the employees out of boredom” . 🙄
