If it seems it is unlikely, it probably is.
I found multiple images of buses without black stripes. In fact I found one where the “floor” black line merged with the center one and then dropped back down. I strongly DOUBT the floor of the bus had an 8 foot hump.

I saw that but Snopes is no longer run by the same person and has made some dubious of outright wrong answers. I no longer trust it as a source. As the originator of the site once told me in an email, sure read it, “but do your own fact-check”—and she is right.
