Vance: "A lot of Americans can't afford health insurance right now because it's one of many things that's gone through the roof," he added. "And Donald Trump has actually fought for affordable health care for the entire American citizenry."

This is a lie.

Trump wanted to eliminate Obamacare and have nothing in its place. Had Obamacare not existed more would have died.

Trumpcare is “Just die.”

@feloneouscat

Trump also wants to eliminate Medicare and turn it over to the insurance companies. "Medicare Advantage" run by the insurance co now is much higher, more restrictive, and less options than traditional Medicare

@QueenOfEverything

Medicare advantage is dreadful. They send us a TON of paper showing us how much we are not paying. Course I can get on ye olde computer. And they keep annoying us with “we can have a nurse visit you” NO!

@feloneouscat @QueenOfEverything Here in Bay County Fl very few Dr's accept Advantage Plans. They only accept original Medicare. That was a big factor in my not using an Advantage Plan.

@DCliffo @feloneouscat

There's a real DECEPTION with Medicare Advantage- they don't inform you that once you choose the Advantage plan- you can't go back to regular Medicare- you're stuck with it.

Unless you move out of state and the plan you were in isn't available- thank god that's what happened to me.

Doctors don't want to put up with all the cut backs and bullshit that Advantage plans demand. IT'S ALL ABOUT MAKING MONEY.

@QueenOfEverything @DCliffo

I’m on a shit ton of meds for my epilepsy so I came out ahead. Then the cancer.

I accidentally looked at what Medicare (Medicare Advantage) and they probably wish they could only insure healthy people 😝

@feloneouscat @DCliffo

So which one are you on- traditional Medicare or Advantage?

@feloneouscat @DCliffo

Just don't let them try and reject medications that your doctors want to prescribe. You can appeal- I had to do it multiple times... and it took 2 or 3 times to get it accepted.

I'm glad it's working for you... it was a disaster for me.

@QueenOfEverything @feloneouscat Back in 2016 my insurance company rejected my cancer meds every single time my Dr ordered them. Every month I had to fight with them. I actually had a lawyer write them a letter telling them I would be needing these meds for 18 months. Stop forcing me to fight them every month. My Dr asked her to write letters for many other patients. It's crazy the hoops we have to jump thru!

@DCliffo @feloneouscat

Medicare Advantage is also trying to cut down on actual Doctor visits (my opinion bc doctors prescribe more medicine) by having nurses call and do phone checks. They even will schedule house calls- depending on the circumstances.

Again, none of this is for the good of the patient... it's COST CUTTING.
