“Congressional Republicans already believed Donald Trump was headed back to the White House. Some of them think the Saturday night rally shooting has made his path even easier.”

This is a sick, and stupid, way to look at the world.

By November few will care or remember.

The attempt did not change his policies. It didn’t change his stance on abortion. It sure as hell didn’t change his racism.

Nothing changed.

Sympathy vote? Get real!

Only in the fetid conspiracy laden world of Alex Jones are shootings good for business and politics.

In the reality that I inhabit, yes people feel sympathy. No one deserves to be shot. A poll today will show a temporary uptick. It is transient.

It certainly is not an indication of a swing in voters. Yet the media will portray it that way.

None will tell you that it will have no affect on the election.

@feloneouscat Exactly! People have very short memories with 24/7 content.

@feloneouscat
Hopefully the recent shooting will cause :dickhead: to start cutting down on his rallies, the only purpose is to milk every possible vote from every softhead in the country. Trump has been calling for violence for more than 10 years, no surprise that the violence has found him.

@feloneouscat Fuck That! I don't give participation votes.

@Ruthat

That is exactly what Republicans are arguing. And the media will dutifully act as stenographers, never questioning if this is in fact valid.

Reality has been defined as sound bites with lack of fact checking or true analysis. We will read opinion disguised as fact and fact relegated to the last paragraph.

Orwell warned us of this.

The rich, instead, using it as a guide.
