Money. Biden has promised to tax the rich and here is the funny part about rich people (Soros aside — he’s an interesting duck): they hate taxes. I know, they have more money than they could spend in a lifetime.

Republicans have a majority in the Senate. Physical majority. Independents are not Democrats.
This is a common mistake.
Democrats do not have a majority.
Republicans have successfully killed good legislation because they can.
