Yup. Before the pandemic I decided that I was working from home. So I packed up the work system with a befuddled and somewhat flustered boss who wasn’t quite sure what to say.
Worked that way for seven years. Saved thousands of dollars (since the fuckers never gave raises — not even cost of living).
Down side is they DID eventually let me go. Upside is after a year I found a dream job that I loved to do (even if I had to commute).
