Iโm sorry but that portrait does make it look like King Charles is presiding over hell.
@evamarie Doesn't it, though? I mean, I know the country is in a huge mess, but that portrays him as the instigator of the fire. ๐
@homebird @evamarie
I don't think *any* country could be in that bad a shape, certainly not the U.K. currently! ๐ That painter was being a little bit overly dramatic. I wonder if they were going for undertones, as one does, and were planning to paint the top notes over the red, but then decided "Hm, I kind of like that." ๐ค That's what it looks like to me.
@janallmac @homebird @evamarie
Guessing, but I think the whole thing is meant to portray him as a "Climate Superhero".
eg. The world is burning but here comes our hero. Look! Even the butterflies love him.
@stueytheround @homebird @evamarie
Oh, that's nice. I hope it's got a grain of truth to it. May his efforts help, really, despite any critics.
There's a butterfly effect, too...
@janallmac @stueytheround @homebird @LnzyHou
Nice interpretation, janallmac.
The portrait still looks hellish to me. If the butterfly is meant to represent the Kingโs devotion to the environment as postulated by Stuey, I think it looks like the world is on fire due to climate change. ๐ฅ
This portrait is a veritable Rorschach test ๐
