I’m watching “My Fair Lady” and it’s as awesome as ever.
Music from My Fair Lady - On the Street Where You Live
It’s almost 50 years old but so good. Highly recommended.
A classic. Definitely dated, but in a sweet, nostalgic way. Plus, I love the idea that somebody who can't sing (Rex Harrison) was able to get a role in a musical.
Rex Harrison just shouts himself through songs 😁
More or less!

Christopher Plummer couldn't sing well either...
@Teej_Muk @mikeflstfi @evamarie That is true, now that you mention it. He didn't really get cast in featured songs in The Sound of Music.

And in the one duet with Julie Andrews (Something Good) he basically screwed up his part. Stuttered a word (o**or childhood) on one of his solo lines. I think that song would've been better known if it got edited correctly. I really like the sentiments of that song, too! 😖
He had done interviews where he called the movie the Sound of Mucus and didn't really enjoy the filming process much at the time. Kind of a bummer.

Fascinating. I didn't know that.
@evamarie
That guy was kinda a creeper...staking out where she lived and staying there!
He was! However the song is lovely and the voice fantastic -:)
@evamarie
I should watch that sometime. I’ve never seen it.
