The libelous claim that Israel is a colonial project causes harm to Jews worldwide and is simply not rooted in reality. Scores of archaeological evidence reveal a Jewish community in the Land of Israel that has lasted for millennia.
Keep Digging: How Archaeology Debunks the Israel ‘Colonizers’ Libel

the Hamas charter of 2017 pasted a thin veneer over its core ideology of genocide/mass murder (which was blatant in its first Charter in 1988). In the 2017 rebrand Hamas conveniently drew on leftist tropes, saying “never mind that old blood-thirsty fanatical Charter” … “we actually aren’t against Jews, we’re against the ‘Zionist colonial project’ in Palestine”. Twisting the frame but not changing their agenda. It’s just so hard to watch the western liberal left get so thoroughly duped 😓 #Israel
@heatherdale how many weatern liberals really doubt that Hamas is a bunch of genocidal fanatics? There must be some, but I don't know any.

They are in the news a lot
@ecksmc: Calling people “colonizers” is very much en vogue and has been for a long time.
The "colonizer" blood libel came from the KGB in 1964. Which is ironic considering how Imperial, Soviet, and current Russia became the size that it is, and what it is doing today.
There were Jews living in the Holy Land when the Ottoman Empire was born (1299–1453) and on the day that empire collapsed (1920).

Same things that they do wherever they go.
Massacring the natives and stealing their natural resources.

The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the early 20th century provides arguably the most compelling evidence of the Jewish people’s enduring connection to their land and heritage.
