In the 2017 rebrand Hamas conveniently drew on leftist tropes, saying “never mind that old blood-thirsty fanatical Charter” … “we actually aren’t against Jews, we’re against the ‘Zionist colonial project’ in Palestine”. Twisting the frame but not changing their agenda. It’s just so hard to watch the western liberal left get so thoroughly duped 😓 #Israel

The "colonizer" blood libel came from the KGB in 1964. Which is ironic considering how Imperial, Soviet, and current Russia became the size that it is, and what it is doing today.
There were Jews living in the Holy Land when the Ottoman Empire was born (1299–1453) and on the day that empire collapsed (1920).
