@Wreckless @Render yeah CBS has finally caught up with some info (I lost the NBC & MSNBC tv feeds and the youtube feeds were useless, CNN wasn't very reliable at first either) 100-200 yds away on a slightly elevated shed, but most of what CNN is sharing right now isn't new info...
NBC was
1). You can't tell the caliber from the audio on the TV.
2). He didn't get a rifle into the venue - he was on a roof outside.
3). He still should have been spotted in the prone position, in cammies, on a roof, with a long gun.
@th3j35t3r @duglop Only thing I can see happening is he gets up there quick and starts firing before they can react. Anything else was a monumental failure in security.

@duglop @th3j35t3r A rally goer spotted the gunman and notified police and secret service. They knew before but not soon enough to stop the shots.
