So tomorrow would have been Mom and Dad's 59th wedding anniversary. It feels like it's been a very long 20 plus years that Mom has been gone and a very long five plus years that Dad has been gone... Tomorrow is also my younger sisters birthday, she and I have not spoke for a number of years and in all honesty I don't see that changing anytime soon because it takes 2 people...

I obviously don't know the situation.
In my own life I have continued to reach out because maybe one day I won't be rebuffed.

And that's all you can do. Only you can decide whether to keep trying after all of that. I have had a couple of receptions and still have a few who ignore.

@MelissaHDavis my sister wouldn't even let me say goodbye to my father when he was dying, she got between my mom and I before she died as well.. she always has negative things to say about my 2 children whom are extremely respectful adults now and went so far as to turn her back on old family friends... then she stopped speaking to me out of the blue - yet again, it's always been ME continuing to reach out and try my best
