In fact, thinking about it more.
There was one person I knew very well online I met in real life. We both administered and moderated a debate forum. When I was ready to flee California, she offered me a room in her house in Virginia until I got settled.
<long story>
Turns out she was a real asshole. I don't think I did anything to offend but I may have. The situation was weird.
I've met 5 other people in real life whom I first met online. Two of them have died.
@Jeber
I use IRL to mean meat-space, yes. I've been online since '83 and have a 'best friend I've never met' from '99. He did call me once, drunk at midnight. If I go to Atlanta, or he comes to Sonoma, we'll have a long hug.
Real life is my comfy house with my cat. :)

Nope. As far as I know, I have never met or seen any other member of CoSo in real life. Does that imply that CoSo is not real life?
It's on my real-life computer screen, I'm interacting with it in real life.
For that matter, I've met very few people I've known online, in some cases for over a decade, in real life.
And I'm just fine with that.
