we're increasing oil drilling, offering a pittance for buying EVs, not expanding infrastructure, decreasing production of EVs which keeps them $$$ & Ford is surprised by "lower than expected adoption of EVs"? shockedpikachu.jpg
& of course the instant UAW secures a living wage, Ford starts whining about rising labor costs. you could save a lot of labor costs if you jettisoned a few multi-million-dollar execs, maybe then you could make EVs cheap enough to actually buy one.
legit can't tell if NYT is framing this as a good thing or not. I'm leaning towards yes since they're leaving out the fact this means more kids living in poverty with parents who didn't want them, which I call a tragedy that will necessarily result in more child abuse as well but hey what do I know apparently that's better than sucking a blastocyst into a jar of isopropyl alcohol
