This is a very good piece.
As a longtime friend of horrific grief. And every possible manifestation it could dream up. This exactly matches my experience. Grief exists in "echthesia", both timeless, and in the moment. This is so very confusing to those new to great grief. Yet this sneaky timelessness can also help us to cope. No. One never heals from outliving your own child. But one can move from the pit of the past, into the present moment.
Yes. Yes. Such grief is many things.
Surely the deepest wound in the human experience.
