One of the enduring sorrows of the Age of Trump is the bittersweet relief that our elder loved ones are beyond the reach of his influence. Brave, decent folks like my father who conducted top secret communications research for the Navy and my father-in-law (whose grave is pictured) who served in the Navy in the Pacific in WWII would be horrified to see Americans embracing a wannabe dictator carrying out Russia’s bidding. I miss you, Dad and Pop, but you’re better off where you are. #Politics
@cassandra17lina I have said the same of my parents. My Dad, a WWII Vet , died in May of 2016 believing that HRC would be the next President. He told me she would be the most qualified Prez ever. He felt at peace leaving our nation in her capable hands. I’m glad neither of my parents had to witness the atrocity that is trump. It would have broken their hearts and mine. 😞
@allin @cassandra17lina I’m glad as well but for a different reason. I fear my dad would have adored Trump and our relationship was difficult enough without that.
@LnzyHou @allin @cassandra17lina My dad was an illiterate racist, which describes the majority of Rumpy’s fan base.
