Other than the dramatic clouds, what makes this photograph meaningful to me is the absence of Trump flags. Many of the homes alone this stretch of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway flew flags celebrating Mango Mussolini and vilifying President Biden. Now it’s just American flags. Don’t believe the polls. Believe your direct observations. #Politics
@cassandra17lina Most of the die hards in my neighborhood have flags that are dilapidated, faded and coming apart at the seams. No one seems to be buying new flags to replace them. We actually have a Trump store about five miles away from where I live - wonder how long that'll be a viable business?
We noticed similar disrespected flags on a Thanksgiving trip. Says a lot about a lot of things.
@ellesu @altucker @cassandra17lina The golden sheen of trumpism is rusting. Discerning folk knew it was fool's gold all along.
@danielbsmith @altucker @cassandra17lina
I agree with you and here's hoping it disintegrates and is blown into the ether.
@cassandra17lina direct observations are certainly valid, but they only apply to the places you observe. A poll, if conducted correctly, samples a much larger group of people. Of course, not only is that a big if, but there are other possible problems with poll results. For instance, some people don't respond truthfully, and certain political views may predominate among those who lie.
@DavidKMresists My observation was made in a deeply “red” county - not intended to be statistically balanced.
@cassandra17lina well, that puts a better face on it.

Noticing the same thing. Makes the remaining ones all the more notable: die-hard, willfully ignorant, just mean? Pick two (or three!).
