It's amazing she loved him enough to go through with it but I'm heartbroken it was supposed to be a murder-suicide and not physician assisted to end his suffering.

My mom nursed my dad while he very, very slowly and painfully died of lung cancer. Doc showed my mom how to administer his morphine. He said, "You can't really give him too much." Was he saying to OD my dad? Not explicitly. Did mom OD him? I don't think so. I don't know. But if she did, that's ok.
We need more humane end of life care in this country. This is such a horrible thing to have to face. 😔
