I generally try to keep things light on here, but I am currently dealing with the worst personal tragedy I’ve ever faced and really need to get this out.
Yesterday, my mother suffered a serious cardiac episode, and while they were able to restart her heart, she currently has no brain activity. Barring any changes, she will remain on life support for the next 72 hours.
Any thoughts, well-wishes, or prayers anyone has to offer are very much appreciated.

@TheCard No one is strong enough to weather grief all at once. You'll do it one day, sometimes one minute, at a time.
The kindest thing you can do for yourself right now is to listen to your feelings. When you need to cry, do it. When you need to tap out, do it. When you need to sit down for "just a minute" and somehow it's two hours, do it.
The size of your grief is the size of your love.

I'm glad that you won't be alone during this time. Went through it with both of my parents, although many years apart. It's difficult. Please take good care of each other. My heart is with the 3 of you.

@TheCard Prayers for your mom and you. Life throws us challenges and sometimes we can overcome them but sometimes all we can do is lean on others for support to get through.
It's rough seeing our parents like this. My mom has been in and out of the hospital a few times with heart failure and is not a candidate for surgery.
