A goose! C’mon Britain, they’re nasty duckers but most of you can and should be able to take on a single goose!
Now, once we get down to the wolf / crocodile line it becomes a different story…

Well, you know, they have very few snakes, alligators or grizzly bears in the UK so they just haven't had the chance to adjust their world view to those particular ways of dying so the idea of having to fight wild animals is just that much less familiar to them. Is my guess.
