#Scotland is forever being told that it cannot depend on oil/gas from the North Sea as it’s about to run out.
We are constantly told we cannot afford to be a normal independent nation, & need the generous handouts that England gifts us.
And yet, here we have the UK government openly declaring an expected £80B in tax in just the next 6 years.
A further £14B is expected from electricity.
In addition, the biggest tax hike on Scotch Whisky since excise duty began in 1643. Of the average £15 bottle, almost £12 now goes to the UK Treasury.
