@Smersh First Season is hit or miss. The acting is sub-par. Focus on the story. The writing is amazing, even if the actors have trouble delivering it. By Episode 20 ("Babylon Squared") you will be hooked, and you will only need the front edge of your seat by the end of season 2
This is what I’ve heard from a lot of folks who have watched it/raved about it but was surprised by the acting! I’m definitely going to keep giving it a try as the story lines so far aren’t bad.
Also it’s wrinkling my brain that Delenn is Danielle Rousseau.
@Smersh The acting gets better. Especially in season 2 (OMG Bruce Boxleitner) when the casts starts to Gel, feed off eachother and get invested in the stories.
Okay...I love sci-fi and never watched this, but the advice to wade on thru has made me order a season from the library.
I'm a Star Trek (all series) kinda girl. Also like modern Doctor Who series, X-Files, V, Twilight Zone...space, science, and absurdity all tickle my funny bone.
Hope I can get through the first episodes and into the meat of this series.
@BlueStateBabe @Smersh
remakes & spinoffs of Battlestar Galactica are a nice binge. As are most seasons of The Expanse.
@BlueStateBabe @Smersh
And The Good Place, tho not SF exactly. Good funny thoughtful What If.
@BlueStateBabe @Smersh if you like star trek, especially if you like ds9, you'll probably like b5.
@Smersh
for some shows, and some seasons, I just read an episode guide cuz watching is too painful.
Marvel's Antman, some Spidermans, The Expanse s#? i am looking at you.
