I made cold borscht.
Chonky decided to lick out the pot.
I thought, "That's weird, but OK. Nothing in it that could hurt him." It was just grated beets in some beet broth, and not much of it.
Just now, went to wash dishes, and stepped in a huge, hot pink barf.
Swell.
No beets for you, Chonkers!

I had a friend who said she hated beets because they taste like dirt, and I was like, no they don't.
Then my next beets I paid attention and thought, oh. I can see that.
Earthy. Not dirt, though.
